On the 18th of July, 2014, members of the Committee of Retired Boilermakers met with Matt Kuchcinski to inspect, assemble, and erect the components of the prototype of the Baby Arch in black steel. On November 15-17, 2012, the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers sponsored a bus tour to take the Committee of Retired Boilermakers from Warren, PA to Saint Louis, MO and back (700 miles one way) to visit the Gateway Arch and be recognized for their role in the construction of the Arch by the National Park Service and the Mayor of St. Louis.
