Penn Soil RC&D is pleased to announce the receipt of a $500.00 donation check in support of the Baby Arch project. The contribution was made by the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. This contribution is greatly appreciated by Penn Soil RC&D on behalf of the Committee of Retired Boilermakers (CORB). The project committee is well on its way to raise the $12,000 needed to build the stainless steel 1/64 scale model of the famous Gateway Arch at the Warren County Visitors Bureau. Eighty percent of the stainless steel sections of original monument located at the Jefferson Monument to Westward Expansion of the United States in St. Louis, MO were constructed at the former Pittsburgh Des Moines (PDM) ironwork shop in Warren, PA before being sent via railcar or truck to Saint Louis.
